Have you ever thought about buying a PCP Compressor to fill your gun or diver`s bottle up, Well if so you need to watch this video below.

KevG

You Mean...Something like this???

She will deliver 3.5 cu.ft. of Beathing quality(dry) air at 4500psi
She can top off my 88 cu.ft. tank in 10 min, fully empty fill in 25min
Made by Alkins... Bought because all of the Stainless Steel used in the Construction..

Now that`s a Compressor Stuart,

I would have said it looked like a he, Not a she, But i`ll go with your personal choice of names for her  :)

I`m still looking about for a nice Compressor tbh,  But as the story goes its going to be into next year before i buy a new Compressor as thats when i start to retire and go part time instead of full time,  I keep counting down the days....Personally can`t wait tbh.
I have so many plan`s ready for me next year,...with my rapid and me...going to KevG`s and chewing the fat once more will be good,...Plus meeting up with his good friend Kev "KCE",

Got all these good thing`s to look forward too, Oh i forgot,...And let KevG give my old Rapid the once over to make sure it`s in fighting fit shape for years to come.

:)

The nomad does get good reviews.... I'm going to leave it a while and see how they do after a year or 2 of use - any faults / problems should show up in that time 👍

I've been running an Omega Trailcharger compressor for 9 months.
Wouldn't be without it now.
Not one issue at all

Probably the best money I've spent on the sport in the last 10 years

I'm toying with the idea at the moment but dont want to make the wrong choise as they are expensive! the cheaper chinese ones are the right price but reliability could be spotty and theres a bit of a faff with the water any body using one? How they holding up? Is it a hassle with the water?

Ca_Varminter

My personal and Engineering technical opinion.....
I would stick to a known GOOD company..
Whose business is dealing High Pressure Air.

At these pressures, you handling a Bomb!!...
So the one from Hill's has promise...but don't know the price???

Plenty of issues with the cheap Chinese ones, but they are cheap.

Considering the time Hill have taken to get theirs to the market, there have been some reported QC issues.

Ca_Varminter

I am sure Hill will stand behind their Products!!
Anything as complex as a High Pressure Compressor..
It will have some growing pains.....But I am sure they will correct any problems that arise..

I'll remain sat on the side lines for now then dont want to spend on something that will be in for warranty longer than it spends filling my rifles!

Ca_Varminter

If you want More Compressor than you need...
If you plan to fill Carbon Fiber Tanks...
You always can get a Used Bauer Junior cheap...
I found several for friends at very good prices
Just have it checked out by a professional!!

At present Im looking towards a Coltri MCH6/EM/UK/300 BAR 2.2kw 13amp single phase from the Compressor Shop. Its priced at £1900. Thats the drawback. For that much money I can buy a couple more 12l 300bar tanks and a lot of refills, but I would loose the independance a compressor gives. DECISIONS DECISIONS. Ken.

I'd go for the 12l tanks Ken, if your filling regime is straight forward, for me to get refilled its 30mins drive, 30mins at the shop filling and chatting, 30mins home job done. Loads more shooting and only cost me £15 inc fuel. Plus no maintenance costs for the upkeep of a compressor.

I have Both...
The Reason I bought a compressor, I couldn't get a good 4500 psi/300 Bar fill!
They would change prices, or  say they couldn't do a 300 bar fill, or only fill to 250bar fills.
So I look into a compressor. Solved my problems..
I also fill my friends tanks for them..they  usually call me to find out when I am filling my tanks.
Drop off, or stop over and talk while filling them...
