All Breathing Quality Air Compressor has a Final Stage Purifier.

The Purifier separate the last bit of water in the compressed air.
The High Pressure Air(HPA)  enters at the bottom of the Purifier,
swirls around before it enter the top of the internal filter.
This helps the Separation of the water from the HPA.

The Internal Filter will also does a final scubbing of the HPA .

The HPA will pass through a molecular sieve beads and then through Activate charcoal. This will remove any remaining moisture and impurities. This bring the HPA to Breathing Quality level.
Here is a diagram of the filter setup.

So the HPA enters the internal filter unit from the top, where the nozzle with the 2 O-rings is located.
There are Perforations around the Nozzle for air to enter.
In this area contains the Molecular Sieve beads. This scrubs the water out of the HPA.
Next the HPA enters the bottom of the compartment that contains the Activated Charcoal.
This will remove any impurities and odors from the HPA.
The HPA finally exits the Top of the filter, through the nozzle.
So here is the filter separated from the top of the Purifier.

Another photo of the Filter apart, ready to be recharged.
Note the perforations around the Nozzle for the HPA to enter.
Also the perforated disk where the HPA exits to the nozzle

Hope this helps the guys thinking about a Compressor!!

Thanks for all that information Stuart. It`s given me something else to consider. Still checking prices for single phase electric compressors. Been looking at second hand, but all I have seen seem to look too battered to me. Will have to think hard about a couple of more tanks or compressor. Really finding it a hard decision to make. Ken.
