My old Rapid Mrk1,

In it`s box on the wardrobe waiting for me to do something,  Oh time`s have changed, I remember 20 years ago my Rapid used to be at my side all day and all night as we both hunted and shot all the time,

I went through the power crazy thing when i need power and power & more power and believe me the mrk 1 could give you just that if you need it too, with outsanding accuracy too.
Yes i have a section one firearms licence back then,..but let it go just after re-newing it,...that greater manchester police could never understand why i did that,
That being said a Rapid will deliver outstanding results in the fac or 12lbs version`s believe me i`ve tried both Mrk2 & Mrk1 at Fac levels from 30lbs on the mrk 1 & 40lbs on the Mrk2 both with outstanding results.

Now i shoot close range with 12lbs from my mrk1, and i need to be sure before i take the shot to be 100% that what i hit will be mine to take home.

So as above my rapid has the 21 Inch theoben rapid factory anschutz barrel ported at 4mm,.....but soon i`m going to replace that with a 16 inch barrel with a 3.5mm porting to make the airflow much tighter to help stop the curve even though i have a KevG reg fitted.

Soon i`ll post my shot count from my rapid with this 21 inch anschutz barrel  ported at 4mm and show you the power output i get from it with the set up as it is,
Then when i get the 16 inch barrel i`ll do the same and show you all what i get with a reduced porting and KevG reg and compair it to both 21 Inch barrel & the 16 inch Barrel with reduced porting.

Be interesting to see what happens.

Regards

:)

KevG

long barrels tend to make the gun more inconsistent at sub 12 ftlbs also you have to slow the lock time right down to keep it under limit which can make a slopy lazy firing cycle.
KevG
