Who do you think would be the best energy supplier to go with? I'm currently with E.ON and they're hitting me with £200-per-month bills for both gas and electric.

But, do you actually use £200 a month in power? We don't, there's only two of us and the Westie, Mr Hector, he wears a fur coat year round. We only heat one room, the one we're sitting in. But, it seems to me that energy users are charged the minimum fee, even if they don't use it. Low usage used to attract a lower rate, not now. Energy bills seem to be a division of the profits they want, divided by the number of customers. It's almost communism. And why should I have to pay the bills of those who won't?

Your bill will relate to what you use, shock horror  :o  :o if you run up credit they have to pay it you back.

You need to note what you use & when you use it, then look at what tariff suits your situation best,
it may be that a lower daily standing charge but 1-2p more per unit will work out cheaper, if you don't use a lot.

I'm with EDF end of last year they changed my peek/off-peak/standing charge because they were "streamlining" what they offer.
a week after the 1st quarterly bill they changed me back to what it had been, & gave me back credit, because they realised it had put my bill up by 30%.
