Since dipping my toe into the Theoben pool a couple of years ago (yes yes I'm late to the party but at least I got there 😁) I managed to get my hands on some very nice examples

My First Rapid was this mk2 and KevG told me that it has a FT stock which was a good surprise, I'm not too sure how common they are but either way it's that little bit different.

When I bought it, it came with the original buddy bottle alongside the carbon Best Fittings one.  I had the stock sent out for a refresh and it came back looking great.

The carbon bottle is now in the gun cupboard and the original bottle refitted.

Then came the Scirocco GP in 177

A superb example of a mint TTR mk1 with custom coloured stock in 22

And finally a mint Impact GSX 200 in 177

Safe to say all of these are a joy to own and they are all superbly accurate, the gassers I'm still getting used to as I've been shooting pcps for too long.

Anyway, more to add no doubt 😁

Cheers Steve, it's super clean and one I'd been hankering for a while, all the ones that I'd seen online were pretty rough and sellers asking daft money for them so when that popped up I wasn't going to pass on it.

Some nice looking examples in your Theoben collection Mark. Did the SLR come with original mags?

yes it did along with a couple of aftermarket ones that were made by a Czech seller on ebay, I was told that the original 177 mags are usually damaged by now due to feed or rotation issues but mine is untouched so I use the single shot tray if I take it out for a shoot.

The original .22 mags that came with my SLR are knackered but I got a few of those Czech versions and they have worked without fault. Not too keen on my SMW single shot loader. It works but I have to be careful or the pellets can easily fall back into the breech well. I read recently that someone paid 130 quid for 1 original .177 mag!

I have that SSL and agree how much of a pain it is to load especially with the little 177 pellets.

I push the pellet probe forward just enough to stop the pellet falling back but it's a pfaff, mind you, it's not a rifle I want to use as a daily as I bought it as a collectible.

I can't believe the MA sold for that much!!!

Nice looking thing.  I really like the proportions on them, I was lucky picking up a 177 with a long barrel, I don't think that many were made? I also like the forend on the stock, it's a lot thinner than a lot of my Weihrauch springers and those raised panels work really well.

Walk

Look Fantastic buddy  :)  ;)
