Hi members,
I bought an original unmolested MFR not to long ago and KevG did a full service on it for me.
The seller said the ammo it came with was the best and was pellet on pellet they were H@N field Target Trophy in .20.
I have spent a long time now trying to set up the scope to no evail and at times you have to use a cotton bud to load the pellets into the mag which i find strange.
I cant get any type of groups even at 25 yds cant hit a 5 inch square target more than twice.
It is not clipping at all and the gun is running sweet at sub 12.
Does any one know where you can get the pellet packs from now in .20 so i can try a few samples to set up the scope.
I dont want to have to spend a fortune on full tins of ammo to find out they dont suit this barrel.
Thank you for any help or advise in advance.

Regards kev.

I don't understand what you mean about "cotton buds to load the mag" ?
.20 rapids shoot either FTT's or JSB's, skinny MFR's seem to like FTT, more of the std 16mm seem to like JSB.

Have you tried hand loading to eliminate the mag as the issue ?

It might always be the scope that's fubar

I can send you a bag of JSB to try.

Hi yes i did try hand loading it made no change a cotton bud if you cut the end off it is like the end of a match stick i had to use this in order to get the pellets to fit in the magazine as they would not slip in to it most of the time.

Regards kev.

PS the scope is new just bought for £600 and i was prone with bi pod on a table trying to set up the scope so no wobble.

Sounds very odd...
All my .20 Mags work like the other calibers...
Have taken the Mags apart...give them a good cleaning and check the condition of the spring.
Make sure the spring is not  Over-Wound...

If it is having a Accuracy issue...
Have thoroughly cleaned the bore?
Did KevG give the barrel a check... Make sure there isn't a Crown issue??
Maybe like KevG have a go at it for you..... less headaches

Good Luck,
Stuart

I don't need to do that with my .20 mags ??
Something sounds very strange, I was going to say any scope even brand new, can be faulty,
but now it almost sounds like a duff batch of pellets if they don't load correctly & don't shoot hand loaded.

it is going to KevG to take another look i have a feeling it is either the pellets or the mags at fault as did try self loading.
