Hi
Which is the best quick fill to fit to my rapid. I'm wanting one where I don't need to alter or drill the stock if possible. P.s It has a reg fitted
Thanks

Brooksy

The only one I'd buy is from Dr Bob on here. All of them need a hole in the stock. Don't be tempted to fit a valve in the actual bottle.

Ok thanks for that, are the valves in the bottle no good then, I've looked at some of those on the net

for the sake of taking a bottle off and putting it back on,..there's no need for a QF
worst case you need a 20p o-ring every now and then.

get Kev to make you a double tap and 6mmx6mm valve, a good setup should give 15% gain over factory spec.
Thats near to a full tin of .22 and  probably 350+ in 177 from 400cc.

Roughly the same cost for efficiency as for convenience. 8)

Ok 19" barrel & 480cc bottle but I get 500 shots at 230bar (575 @250) from my 177 S-Type-a-like

How many do you need in a single session?

sounds interesting, if kevs still doing them I'll get one of those. I can go through a bottle on the range like nowt. Not be getting one now as I don't want to cut my stock.
Thanks for the reply

Ah the 'death bottles' as I like to call them  :( anyone who drills a hole in a buddy bottle for any reason other than make it scrap is an imbecile.
apart from the fact it invalidates any testing and makes it illegal to fill, it WILL weaken the structure & IS going to fail one day.

I've got a best fittings QF with the extension to fit clear of the stock, not too pretty & changes the balance, but does the job.

Drilling your Stock is no Big Deal....
It can be made to LOOK Great on your stock.....
Here is my standard MKII stock.. with a Dr Bob QF..
The holes is Delrin(Acetal) lined and Capped..

Here is one of my Custom Stocks...RAW QF..
Brass liner and Cap....

To Drill the Hole in the stock...Just use the Proper Tools...
1 inch Forstner Drill bit... High quality and sharp.
Also I jig used for alignment!!

FYI, here is a link to one of my tech posts... How I installed Dr Bob and RAW QF..

Good Luck,

Thanks for the info, they look awsome when done right, just way out of my capabilities, and I don't have the necessary tools.
Thank you again

Would it be so cheeky to ask if you would do this to someone else's stock?

Hint hint to the OP

Ca_Varminter

I Have done about a dozen stocks....
The Brass lined and capped Stock is a $600 usd custom stock by an American stockmaker DaveG..
So if my small CNC mill is empty.... Yes I would do any stock..
But there is one Stock I will NOT TOUCH!!
My Paul Wilson Cobra stock on my very First Rapid MKII I got!
This was The first Cobra stock Paul Wilson did for a MKII!!
Got this through BAR......

This is my Baby......
