The coming lead ban?

As we know, the government is in a "consultation" period about banning lead for shooting.

Which basically means lead will get banned.

BASC has done it usual bend over a take it routine. ::)

Has anyone found a suitable alternative, that works as good as lead?

Thoughts and experience's much appreciated folks

Unfortunately it's not UK Gov, it's EU wide & the BASC is way outclassed, so it's doing it's best to save what it can for small bore & airguns,
where as yet there are no practical alternatives, but for CF & shotguns a ban looks to be when, not if.
Although having said that there has been a legal challenge over some of the anti-lead evidence, in the European courts.

I did a load of testing of PB free pellets;
 generally poor accuracy across the board, the exception being JSB .25 16.54gn which my Scorpion SE loves, but can't get them to work in the Rapid at FAC power.
But the big issue, with all of them, is that they're just too hard, there's zero expansion and they over-penetrate.

Totally agree, less accurate = less humane.

Have found the same with .22LR

interesting times ahead
