Serial number removed

Serial number removed and block painted ....
1st 1 I've seen done like this - obviously to hide it's identity,  either stolen or FAC

That looks too neatly done, to be dodgy to me.

Not all rapids are marked there, some have the number on the left under the barrel clamp screw,
I've never seen that machined slot on one before.

The guy said its a mk1 rapid block, the early ones have their serial number in the spot where the milled slot is .....

The serial number has clearly been milled out and painted / ceracoted.
Wouldn't be surprised if the rail is hidng a mk2 barrel location grub and a big port.
Just because it's had neat job done on it doesn't mean it's any less dodgy.

It's either been nicked at some point in its history or an FAC block that was registered as scrapped?

Fail to see how it's a lovely mk1 with that butchered stock

With sub 12 rapids making double the £££ of an FAC rapid - we might start seeing more and more pop up .......

I have bought 2 or 3 rapids in the last year and been offered a couple like this. I didn't buy them. the question is, would anyone else buy one with the number removed?
