MFR's

My trio of MFR's, top 177, 1 previous owner, middle 20, bottom my latest acquisition in 22, one previous owner and original literature with it. As you can tell I have a soft spot for MFR's!

I agree the MFR is probably the nicest & best looking Rapid, but I've only got 1 block out of 4 that's actually marked as an MFR.

I have never owned one as yet but in time may be look into one.

Only the 20 and 22 have mfr on the block the 177 is just rapid.

Interesting about MFR blocks not engraved as such.  There is one in Guntrader now and the block is marked 'Rapid.'  Maybe it shouldn't have, but it put me off it.

all the blocks were just marked rapid in the last years of production. 3 nice mfr,s there.

both of my Mk2 blocks were originally MFRs.
They have 23k and 24k serial numbers and are only marked RAPID.

At the moment to me it's the bottle valve & extended stock.

yep  basically that's the definition for me: shrouded barrel, stock, no-burp reg &  valve.
And of course hopefully a nice big MFR milled on the side.

Theoben were happy to advertise them as MFR's with std 16mm barrels, so while I do prefer the shrouded look, it can still be an MFR without.

but if the bottle valve & grub-screw reg body, are replaced with a QF to me that's no longer an MFR 

I'm still undecided where it's a mk 2 with a 400cc bottle & std stock but had the bottle valve & reg body swapped for the MFR type.

The MFR was first to have the scalloped block, the shroud, stock with 280cc bottle  gave the look that defined the variation.

BTW don't forget the Mark 4 trigger... The most copied trigger!!!
