In this video, Nigel compares the advantages and disadvantages of his FAC Air Rifle, and his 12 Ft Lbs Air Rifle,

So whats everyone else`s thought`s on this matter! :P

Aggy

I have both fac air and a sub 12 .
My fac is a Fx impact running at 60 ftlb it will go higher and a glorious sub 12 mfr ,so the benefits I wouldn't use  the fac in barns or anywhere inside the risk of a pass through is too great when using slugs I would consider it as dangerous as a rimfire.
They are both different tools for different jobs ,I have no idea why but I prefer shooting the sub 12 maybe just because it's more of a challenge or maybe it's because it's a rapid and I have only just got it ,
Thoughts on the video stop ragging the bolt about you are not loading 408
Raw HM1000x fac .22
Skout Epoch .25 fac
Beretta 680

Ruger m77 mk2 .223
Many many many others been and gone

Sub 12 - its all about getting close ! Anyone can plug rabbits out to long range with FAC - did it for long enough ....

Yeah I've seen that video before, skipped through it again to 45/55 yds and ignored the plasticine
Summary.... I'm not sure what he was trying to prove besides air being a possible fast-track to R/F.
Not sure why he believed that that there would be virtually no drop at 70yds?

Hmm. Pish poor accuracy from the HW- I'd have given up trying too if that was the best it had to offer.
A mitigating circumstance...there was a run of notoriously poor HW100 barrels.
Not the first FAC HW100 vid I've seen with shhhh accuracy too....but that owner was happy with 2" groups   :-X

And wrong zero range (nearly 3" drop at 55yds) I mean really (apart from inaccuracy) ..... why zero as if sub-12?
1000fps FTTs? to lumbering loopy Barracuda - really didn't work on pellet choice.
Again not sure why he believed that that there would be virtually no drop at 70yds?

Edit- supposed to be a 37ft/50j model?  wrong zero aside surely not with 3" drop 45 > 55yds

I FEEL his dissatisfaction.....should have saved some money and bought a s/h Rapid ;D
