What makes a MFR a MFR?

I do like them, but would want to shoulder one to make sure it fits.....I can't help but think of an enlarged S200 when I see them....I know thats sacrilege and my brain works in funny ways

Think I'm with you Tim, I like the mfr with the 280 bottle and shroud, once they are taken off and changed for a mod and bigger bottle you lose the lines of the mfr. The gun would still be an mfr with the reg but for me, 280 bottle, and shroud keeps it right. Why do I keep selling mine!

scalloped block.thats how it got its name multi function rifle.use with mag or single loading.of course the reg.some left factory with standard shroudless barrels as special orders.i was not keen on the shrouds but they grew on me.as to be steel though don't like the carbon shrouds as all.

So what's different between the mk 2 and mfr they both have scallop blocks ,
Can the serial numbers tell what gun it is ?

originally it was just the mfr with a scalloped block.the mk2 was standard.eventuly they phased the mk2 block out and did them all with scallops.

Do they both have the same triggers,blocks bottles and regs and barrels , mine has a 12 " barrel ,a bottle you don't have to pop off

The MFR was the Rapid Sexy Sister!!
Specifically made to use the 280cc bottle with the New valve and Regulator....
Simply unscrew and change bottles.. no Burping...
Also First with the Scallop cut into the Receiver and new Mark 3 Trigger cassette.
The first to have a shroud to help quiet it down and keep it streamline...
It was made to be light, well balanced, and to squeeze as many Good shot out of a 280cc bottle as possible!!
Of course, this lead to the Mark 4 trigger, and the S-type Rapid.. The Big Brother!!
