What are the advantages of installing a third-party regulator? And what about the disadvantages?

Ca_Varminter

Well Kernal,
It all depends on your what you like... and power level.
In a 12 fpe a small change in chamber pressure will affect the poi
Noticeably...
But on a 40 fpe rapid..not so much....

But if you are the type that wants the utmost in accuracy
Then go for the Reg no matter what power levels...

As for the design of the Reg. There isn't alot of options in the Rapid
Due to it's design....  All work basically the same..
Just have KevG make a Custom Micro core reg for you!

Well Stuart, I`ve had a KevG regulator on my rapid for over 10 year and i`ve never looked back,
And tbh i could`nt run my mrk1 without a reg now after seeing what the KevG regulator can do to performance and stability of every shot you take.

But i`ve always wondered how the KevG regulator would cope if it was pushed to fac levels,

;)
