Rabbit and woodies stew

After seeing Kernal having rabbit for his tea the other night I decided to raid the freezer and have a nice stew - done in the slow cooker.....

Using 1 rabbit back leg and 1 side of the rabbit back strap with 3 wood pigeon breasts ( 6 sides)

3 carrots peeled and sliced , placed in the bottom of the slow cooker to prevent the meat from sticking and burning .

Rabbit and woodies meat placed on top of the carrot "base". 1 oxo red wine stock pot and 1 oxo cube dissolved in 1/4 pint of boiling water and then poured over the meat in the slow cooker.

Lid on and switched to low - cooking for around 8 hours 😋

Finished cooking - added boiled potatoes and mixed veg with 3 yorkie puds 😋

OMG yours is miles better than mine,...thats it i`m going to have to get hunting and make another just like yours,...how did it taste

It was really tasty mate - there was a fair portion for my black lab max too 👍

Did the meat go tender? Every time I cook rabbit it turns out like rubber, I think I'm using too much liquid and not cooking for long enough!

Longer is better with the slow cooker 👍
