Was having some trouble throttling back the power on my vendetta setup ..... didn't want to use a weak hammer spring as that would just slow down the lock time...

So dropped Kevg a message to ask him about it ... he recommended a longer pip to speed up the lock time and quicken up the valve duration. Thought it might be an idea for the pip to have a delrin insert to remove any ping from the action too. So thought the best length for the pip would be 18.5mm from the hammer to the end of the pip 👍

I'd read about his double tap inertia setup on here and other forums - so I asked him to make me one while he had the hammer .....

When he received the hammer he dropped me a message to say that the pip threads hadn't been done right and the pip had a fair bit of run out when in the lathe - so  he skimmed the end of the hammer slightly and then fitted an over size pip - so when that was tight he could turn the pip down to the right size ...... so that the pip was concentric to the hammer 👍😎

He then made me a inertia setup that was fitted to the hammer so it would run with the best efficiency 👍👍👍

Received the hammer and inertia setup in the post today - have put a pic on below 👍 not had a chance to start setting it up over the chrono yet but the action feels quicker and it has a short sharp bark when fired 😎😎😎

Just thought you guys would find it interesting 👍

Fantastic work by Kev again!!! Thanks a lot mate 😎😎😎

You always know you are onto a winner when you purchase a product of KevG.
As with DrBob/Varminater/Martin444/also to name but a few who have all for many years come up with new ways and ideas to help improve the rapid.
There workmanship and raw talent and skill to detail and thought and many a hour of hard work that has gone into the testing there products never seems to amaze me.
The quality of there materials is the best no expense spared, there aftersales and advise is second to none.
They have always been a the forefront when it comes to what makes the rapid tick and improvements.
The only thing I dislike and this only me speaking aloud is that large corporate firms take there products and go abroad to get them made cheaply and make out they were the inventors.
But most of us rapid owners  will always go to these guys when it comes to our problems with rapids.
Keep us updated Daz once fitted.
