Painting a carbon bottle

I am looking for advice on painting a carbon fibre buddy bottle. Will aerosol paints damage the integrity of the carbon wrap?  I like the weight, not a lover of the looks.

Thanks in advance

Agreed they don't look the best which is why I go for the smaller 280cc alloy bottles. Give Best Fittings a call and ask them about painting a carbon bottle I'm sure they will have the necessary answers as they make the carbon bottles.

Since they use an epoxy to bond carbon fiber...
You should use an Epoxy based paint without a problem.
you will need to CAREFULLY sand it to remove the glossy surface!!!

You could get it hydro dipped and lacquered  👍

Best Fittings don't make them Bill, they sell Inocom bottles re-labelled.
Carbon Fibre can be painted with normal acrylic car paint. According to Easy Composites in Stoke on Trent where I get all of my CF from, you only need to rub the surface gently with Scotchbrite, then wash off any dust and you're good to paint, after its dried that is!
Also, the top surface is normally a thin layer of fibre glass which is meant to be sacrificial in that it can take a few scratches thus protecting the CF beneath. That's why there's an occasional yellow finish to some CF tanks.
