12ltr 300bar bottle.

I have just rang our dive centre up as I have been waiting for them to re open due to covid.
They have told me they can fill my bottle but not to 300 bar as they can no longer fill tank in water due to covid transfer.
China has a lot to answer for.
So running an fac on low air wont last for long.

My local dive centre does not put bottles in water but still fills to 300 bar. It just takes a bit longer.

For these dive shops, they want to do Fast Fills..
Well, the problem is compressing air generates HEAT!!
This problem is Magnified in Carbon Fiber Tanks!!

So the HEAT affects the fill!
Because as the tank cools, the pressure will drop!!
So if you pay for a 300 Bar fill... you will end up with mabe a 270 bar fill..

So when I use my compressor... No water bath....but i use a damp towel wrap!!
I will hit mark of 300 bar(4500 psi)
Then I just let air cool off for 20 min.. Then Top it Off!!
If I want a True 300 bar(4500 psi) fill, I may top it off a several times!!

I`m not an Engineer or anything like that and tbh i never knew you had to put your bottle in water to fill it up or wrap a towel around your bottle to keep it cool,
But thats a good tip for when my m8 fills my bottle up when i get my hose to connect to his compressor,

The Videos is the explosion that just happen in Beirut....

OMG Stuart i`ve just seen the live footage on the news thats a horrible thing to happen,  That explosion took out a full building and all the live`s that have been lost    That was a horrible thing to watch,
I`ve just seen that on my Daily mail icon update on windows10 , OMG it also shook the man that was recording it,

Well the cause...
Mass amounts of Ammonium  Nitrate....2700 tons
For perspective, when the home-grown terrorist bomb the Fed. building in Oklahoma City..
Only 2.5 tons were used!!
