Bolt / gate problem

Squinty

Finally got out to the farm today and started to get testing pellets for accuracy.
The gun was fine when I put 35 shots through it at home to chrono various types before going out.

Got to around 150 shots and the bolt stiffened up. forward and back as if the actual throw had shortened and it didn't want to go into the gate at either end.
Same with or without magazines.
Power hasn't changed, still doing 710fps -8fps extreme spread with JSB heavy.
Might have expected something settle..perhaps, I'm giving the build a shakedown...maybe 600 shots so far.......its bedding in.

But for some reason its become hard to cock too,
Bolt handle is tight, cocking dog, new and tight, bolt adjuster grub is screwed in...checked that ;)

Only time I've experienced similar is when a new cocking dog needed a few thou off to roll over the hammer.

had a day in the sun shooting and chainsawing so really not in tinkering mood.
Any suggestions before I strip it down?

Thanks beforehand  8)

Check the bolt gate screws are tight 😉
The plate may have moved slightly if the screws are slack.....

tight screws and gate..trust me thats not moving. Even if I take the screws out ::)

Does it NOT lock in the Forward position??
If so, it sounds like at leat part of the problem..
The cocking dog pass the Cocking Dog contact ring on the Hammer!

It locked, forward and back.

Couldn't leave it, really wouldn't let it lie. 10 minute strip down.

The dog wouldn't turn into the gate cut out.
Trigger and hammer out...remains of a pellet ..... stuck in the cocking dog bolt head.

Guess that's come from loading piddly little pellets with  the gun in my lap. :-[

Glad it was an easy fix mate 👍

I knew it had to be something simple, couldn't believe I'd already got a pellet in the action. Really theres not that much room ???

I'd loctited the dog, the bolt handle and the grub so I was pretty sure of those.

Here's over-confidence for you....I'd left the Allen keys at home  ;D ;D

cheers guys...inspired to sort it ASAP.
