mk1 trigger parts

Hello everyone,

Could anyone point me in the direction for spares for a mk1 gamo trigger?

Specifically I'm looking for the strut spring, numbered 15n on the rapid parts? Mine has apparently snapped and I cannot for the life of me find a replacement.

Spare parts for the Old Gamo...are scarce...
The trigger strut spring isn't complicated..
It just put upward pressure on the trigger strut to reset when you cock you Rapid.
You can easily make one out thin spring wire.....

Making one was going to be my back up plan, but my searches have absolutely turned up nothing at all! So it is now my plan a!

Few if any individual parts for the Gamo unit are still available, been a case of buying a full assembly for a few years now.

Used to be £14-17; not any more. TR Robb charged £75 for one of these and you had to swap everything over to the original casing

you can make them but it's bit of a faff, I was half way through a pack of 0.5mm piano wire and bleeding from several punctures before I was happy  

whilst you're at it...also make a new trigger return spring 15t ? ..much lighter

The worst thing about those things is wire punctures is how much they hurt! Like wire brush punctures! 0.5mm piano wire is a lighter pull than original? I was thinking of doing a little tuning whilst I was there.

sorry, just checked the wires, I made the sear spring from 0.6mm stainless spring wire and the return from 0.5mm piano.

The 'Sporter' is a single stage with a long take up against the trigger return spring.
Mistakenly called 'first stage'.
Usually people bend this to reduce the tension, but it doesn't do anything about the take up.
Measured several, around 0.65 mm dia wire, spares taken from other Gamo and BSA models can be 0.8 > o.9mm. Cheap springer safety.

Just happen to have a trigger in pieces on the table at the moment; juggling the slave pin. Ping! ,
15N wire is 0.7mm.
Typically that is bent 20-30 degrees to lighten pre-load.

Along with the lightened return I shorten the take up with a 8x3 x 5mm id micro-bearing on 15L, - but depending on the sears (which do vary) I've had to do a couple with skinny 6mm o/d silver steel sleeves.
Can be from short travel 1'8" to contact to tip of your finger hair trigger.

BigAl uses an o-ring- a bit more squish ?

Does require a longer adjustment grub to contact the bottom strut/ sear but it really doesn't need much if any.

That's a goldmine of information! and probably quite a lot of wire sticking out of my hand before long! thank you very much. I think I will definitely explore the addition of the ball bearing
