Dr Bob

As title folks.

Due to various health and personal issues, I have not been on for quite some time. I've only been able to work for a couple of hours a day and just not been up to chatting on here, sorry to all. I have been busy, but what would have taken me a couple of weeks in development has taken months. Hopefully, I have turned the corner and my chronic exhaustion is going to be a thing of the past.

Theobens original spring manufacturers have closed, so getting the correct quality springs for the new MK4 trigger units and magazines have not been easy. HOWEVER! It looks like we have struck gold. The samples were excellent, so orders have gone in for batches. I'm also awaiting samples made the trigger sears and trigger blade. The new cassette cases will be made from polymer, so super lightweight. Well, if it's good enough for Glock, it's good enough for me. Hopefully a few pics attached on progress. Also, another batch of springs for the magazines, as I have no intention of packing in any time soon.

Regards
Bob

Best wishes Bob. Keep at it and don't let your GP relax until you find a fix.

Dr Bob

It was my bloody GP that added to it!
I had been complaining of palpitations, light headedness and confusion that was coming and going. I even put a carbon monoxide monitor in my office as that's where the boiler is.
Whenever I was checked out all was fine. So it was decided I was having panic attacks and suffering from anxiety. NOT a good thing to have on your medical records when renewing your FAC shotgun, and RFD tickets trust me!
Anyway they were totally wrong during a check up prior to an operation on my foot it turned out my rest pulse rate was 200 bpm. Basically my heart was fluttering but so lightly I was unaware. My heart was caviting and not pumping correctly. I was in atrial fibrillation and had been going in and out of it for god knows how long but never managed to prove it.Many months and two heart procedures not to mention over medication plus gross incompetence on the hospitals behalf I'm still here.Yet the panic attacks and anxiety are still on my medical records as true.

Dr.Bob,

I had AF for seven years, most noticable at night when I was trying to get to sleep. I took myself to A&E on three occasions, but, it had settled and they couldn't find anything.
Later, I had two Covid jabs in 2020 and 2021,all seemed well, but, still having the occasional bout of AF. Then, one day at work, I set off on a driver assessment to Rugby. As soon as the train left Crewe I started feeling really dizzy, so much so, that I had to hold onto a hand rail even though I was sitting down! I told the driver to make a priority call to Stafford signaller and get me off the train when we arrived. I was met with a wheelchair and loaded into an ambulance. They did an ECG straight away and the paramedic said "AF, we're taking you in." I can't tell you what a relief that was! After seven years I finally had a diagnosis.
In A&E I was treated with a cardioversion, where they put me out, then stopped and restarted my heart. Since then, I've been on one tablet a day and have had an echo cardiograph and an MRI scan to check my aorta. All well since. I do still get the odd bit of fluttering, but only if I'm over tired or exhausted.
The funny thing about it, I tested positive for Covid that very day, and, on a company medical, the Dr asked if I'd had Covid vaccinations, he said loads of people have had heart issues since having the jabs.
