Air Tank guidance needed

Stupid question alert!

I'm new to air tanks. Always used a scuba shop before but having moved I am going to buy a 12L tank to fill bottles on an old Rapid MkII and a much younger FX Impact MkII.

I want to buy the right product to do both but I've no clue on pressures, or sellers.

What should I be considering?
Who should I be buying from?

Forgive the novice Q but better safe than exploded! 💥

`Go with a  310Bar/4500psi Carbon-Fiber Tank!!
This will allow more fills of your PCP before the Tank needs to be refilled!!

Then if you want to go Wild....Get a Compressor to fill it!!

This is really helpful, cheers.

Not sure I'm into compressor territory yet!

But steel 300bar should do the trick.

What about hoses?

From what I read the Rapid and the impact may need different ones, ie 1/8 or 1/4?
Is that the case or can one hose 'rule them all' with the right adapter?

Ca_Varminter

Nope...
So are using a QF setup on your Rapid??
If so, both will use a Foster QD socket...

Both use 1/8" BSPP hose with a long reach Fosters QD Socket..

Good Luck,
Stuart

https://airriflemainsprings.co.uk/12l-midland-diving-mde-12-litre-airgun-charging-kit-with-boot-and-300bar-cylinder-complete-supplied-empty

12 Litre 300 Bar Steel Cylinder

Valve with built in gauge and bleed

Hose - 1/8 BSP Female Fitting

1/4 BSP Fitting in adaptor when hose is removed for BSA / Theoben (Shim required)

PLEASE NOTE

the Rapid bottle valve has the same 1/4 BSP thread as the dive cylinder adapter and can screw in directly to the cylider

just a delrin spacer to seal the buddy bottle valve in the 1/4BSP reducer..or you can but an adapter to fit the hose

should have a fill adapter for your FX quick fill already.

So if you are going to fill your Rapid bottle directly...
Here is a 1/4" bspp adapter that seals on the neck O-ring.
Also has a foster QD fitting so you can still use
the fosters socket that you use on your Impact....
