Yes mate. I've been in touch with Jimsiss and he hasn't heard from Guy either. Jimsiss and I were the main mods/admins and we knew nothing about it going either.

Why don't you ask Jimsiss to join this forum and ask Jimsiss to get involved in this thread to try and explain what happened and why, If i was honest why don`t Guy join this forum and explain why he did what he did and explain why he did it!

But i think i already know the answer to why Guy let his forum go.

Non provocative question... but why do you think as it leaves the suspense in the post ....I am intrigued but maybe only guy can answer unless you have some internal info ...straight from the horses mouth as we say is the truth   unless the person in question is full of shite
I had a few dealings with guy on a small scale and found him a nice chap ,straightforward, no bullshite but that's just my personal experience

Well if i`m honest i think it come`s down to the cost of the server and as from what i know it was only Guy who paid for it, But that being said i could be wrong.

But server prices are through the roof right now and that`s why I've always looked at ad`s on this site to pay for the server plus the great members that help out too and donate money to help us keep going.

As for the rapid site Guy ran well i do hope Guy is well and doing ok as i think many a member will wish him all the best too.

Well i phoned KevG tonight and had a good conversation about the other forum between us both and he`s got no grudges at all with any of them    so they are all welcome on this forum if they like!

So everyone understands this is KevG`s forum and me and Lurk and Tiny Portal will stand with him with whatever he decides to do with this forum, I`m here for him and so are all my friends that code websites too.

Aye good to hear that ....I'm always learning I didn't realise it was kevs forum , ty for replying you could be correct as everything has gone up in cost not just server related but just running a site these days is probably hard enough let alone the costs...either way onward and foreword no good dwelling on past  👍

From what I understood and I'm sure Guy mentioned initially..
His site had been paid up for many more years to come ..and in his mind money wasn't the primary gole in setting up that site.
I'm sure other members do remember this!
Although all this doesn't matter now..water under the bridge..just wish both the sites could have become one happy family especially as there were lots of very knowledgeable members/Skilled traders/too..just my two pence worth..enough said.

Well server`s do come at a cost and just maybe Guy thought why should i pay for all this it`s pointless,....That`s just me thinking about the cost`s of running a site like this and trust me it come`s at a cost that i moved away from member`s but some member`s god bless them pushed donations into the box to try keep this site going and it worked.

 

Anyway on a lighter note as from tomorrow I'm on a diet and so is my GF so HA and don`t you lot even go there so HA

Just remember that Lurk & Myself are only here to help KevG and push his site as forward as we can with Tiny Portal involved too! Me and Tiny Portal go back a very long way but that being said like i said before time and time again and as KevG`s said let`s just make one site and move on I'm sure it`s possible maybe!


Come on Guy & Jimsiss if your reading this sign up and give your member`s an explanation as to why your site collapsed, Don`t be shy just tell them the truth is not hard to do!

But then again it would have been great if you all came together on the table and just talked and sorted stuff out between you lot!

I myself will do what i can for you all no matter what but that being said I'm totally for KevG because I've known him a long long time and we used to have a laugh together when i got banned on many a forum!

Anyway things change and so have i, So i still think you lot should figure it out and all stay connected and I'm on about the old site too with Guy and friends!

As for me and Lurk well we just do what we can while we are here and help as much as possible to give you all the forum that you have today!

But i still think you should all forget about your problems with each other and figure a way forward this is KevG`s forum and always will be!

SO

What next! could you all work it out and become great friends as well as run a great forum such as this as Lurk & me run it in the back ground helping you all out along the way!

Is that even possible!
