Hi Guys,
Its been a while since I've frequented this forum and as usual its when something goes TIT's up.
My dear old rapid 12/200 is not very well, she has a Kevg reg in her and its been fine for years.
The other day I got it out to dispatch a nasty little tree critter in the garden. loaded up and there was a little dull pop, ah no air in the bottle, it had been a couple of years since its last use.
Filled the bottle up with my compressor back together, dealt with said critter a little latter than expected, put it away. Next time round same thing.
Charged cylinder had a good look round air leaking from the bottle adapter stem seal " i think" its the big o ring that seals the reg into the block, stripped it down replaced the o ring that looked OK, back together still leaking, I put a little Moly on the o ring too, could it be the reg leaking?
or is it a duff new O ring that's the issue, ant suggestions would be handy.
Kind regards.
J

Hi Guys,
Its the 14mmx1.78 O ring that has the leak showing.

if regs leaking it will be coming from the small hole near were the reg joins the action block,if it's on the joint between reg and action block it will be the bs015 oring

just put abit of spit on all the joints plus end of barrel to check for bubbles.

Hi Kev,
Yeah that's what I did with some leak detection fluid, it is definitely from that BS015 o ring, but I have changed it once and it still leaked, I have ordered some new ones should be here today to try it again.
Thanks for the reply.

So don't forget to  put a little Molykote on the O-ring...
A little lube help to make a good seal!
Also the check the sealing surface in the Block..
Make sure they are clean of any debris and dried lube!!
Also the surface is scratch-free!!

Good Luck,
Stuart
