Hi
My first post and a newbie with an early MK2 .177 (2002)

I wanted to ask, will this reg fit my rifle as I bought it as a spare very recently. It looks different to the one in the JimmieDee service guide so wanted to ask please. I do have the bellevilles on a string : )
Cheers
Chris

Yes, its a later version,
The collar is for adjusting core end-float and the o-ring is to provide locking tension for the collar.

SiegeA

Thanks a lot Squinty.
I'll need to carefully set that then (more careful than my initial tightening it right up!) I've read up about the stack figuration so your points about the end float are really handy.
It's new and unused and I want to practice setting the pressure and keep it ready if I need to swap out.
Is there a basic setting for the locknut or overall length for .177 Sub 12 at all?

Around 0.5mm-0.8mm, depends on the belvilles- how many, thickness, may need to tweak it to suit.

SiegeA

Cheers, might have to shelve all that for a while as the nose seems to have an almighty divot in it🙄 Supposed to have been unused. Methinks perhaps not.

looks like its been trimmed back with a blade  :(

Yes, an axe😆 Learning quick here though as managed to get it out. I'll have to source some rod and replace it.
Everyday is a school day☺️

I've been in touch with Kev and he's going to sort it and make a new disc/nozzle also as it was worn on the nipple and the part which goes into the bottle had been cut short by about 1mm🙄

That sounds like an Ebay reg, bad dimensions,
I bought one a while back now; there was a £20 eblag promo/voucher on them..cant go wrong at £100??
Dldn't work and wouldn't ever....returned ASAP.
Reckon there must have been a few unlucky souls who bought them.

The o-ring seat/BSP wasn't cut deep enough for the core nose to contact the back of the disc.
A good millimeter short of the core-  would initially think the body had been made too long at the block end but the shoulder of the bottle valve stood 1-1.5mm out too.

I think you're probably right. Long story short, I'm getting a refund from the seller and when that's cleared, I'll be sending it back.
Hoping to get Kev to make me one🤞🏽

I have a KevG mini reg in my rapid 7 mrk1 and its been in since he put it in, that being said its never had any of its seals replaced and i`m sure it could be getting time to have KevG do a service on it soon maybe.
