Raw gets a new cylinder

Decided to put a 700 cc carbon cylinder on the Raw , since fitting the Mdt buttstock it has been a bit arse heavy , now the balance it perfect and it's just heavy , actually feels much better , should have a pretty good shot count at 50 ftlb too

Hi Kev thanks mate , the gun in my opinion looked silly with the 24 " barrel they fit but it's required to get the power up to 50 ftlb , the whole thing feels better now ,it's a gun I use static most of the time with tripod or bipod

The original 480 cc looked a little lost with the long barrel , I get whay the gun needs it but the prop or looked wrong

A great looking bit of kit there Mick.
Im still not keen on the bottles even though I do like the idea of the weight and they do look much better than the standard bottles it is a trust issue with me nothing else.
I caught  a standard buddy bottle on some barbwire on top of a post many years ago and it scratched the bottle deep into the metal so I discarded the bottle after that.
I always wonder what if I had a carbon bottle fitted would it have been ok.
As I say they are very nice to feel and look very smart it is just an issue I have since that day.

Hi I spent thirteen years wreck diving so imagine being up to 50 meters deep in a rusted mangle of metal trying to squeeze through gaps you don't fit in with a cylinder on your back , we started with aluminium cylinders then went to steel ,eventually twinsets hp steel , we absolutely knocked the crap out of them whilst they were repeatedly dipped in salt water , they are incredibly tough things ,
The fire service used carbon cylinders now whilst in burning buildings again whilst in low visibility and when crashing into things , they are incredibly tough things .
