My First Rapid

This is my new to me, sub 12 Mark-1 twenty two calibre air rifle. The seller bought it new in 1997 and over the years made a number of upgrades, and had work done by Kev G that included installing one of his regulators and a Dr. Bob quick fill with gage unit. The moderator was made by Pete "bucket boy" I understand, and is made from carbon fibre material; it sounds much quieter than the moderator on my hw100.
I have installed what I believe is an original set of Rapid rings, which after lapping in, I mounted a 6X Weaver Hunter Benchrest model scope which I brought with my kit from overseas. Looking forward to sighting the rifle in soon.

All the mod cons fitted a bonus it will always perform as you want it to.
I love all my MK1 rapids.
A nice touch with cheek piece never seen that on a MK1 stock.

Thanks, yes I got lucky being at the right place and time when browsing the for sale section on the new AGF site. The cheek piece modification is well done. I just raised it a little to allow airflow so any moisture could evaporate more easily. The seller also included some extras. Several Dr. Bob 12 shot mags, spare O-rings, a 400cc bottle which I believe was the original, 280cc  & 400 cc bottle clamps for sling and bi-pod attachment, and unexpectedly  he included a laser collimator for bore sighting.

 It may be my imagination, but I think I hear the sound of an ELAN faintly calling me from somewhere far off in the distance ?
