Who has or still owns the good old Diana sp50 gat gun.
My first one I bought came in a box with a few pellets and some blue/red darts oh and not forgetting that bit most of us threw away the round black plastic disk which you put on the ground to push the barrel in.
Yes I was one of those that from day one threw that disk away and pushed the barrel against trees/walls/on my foot/and in the end together in my hands in order to load it.
Then you unscrewed that small knob on the back pushed in your dart with it and screwed it back in.
The open sights on it well we all know how useless they were as we proceeded to fire that dart at a tree or something for the first time.
Once fired we went back to the tree only to find we had not hit that tree by a mile and our dart was nowhere to be found.
Never mind we thought as we delved into that small plastic tub to load in a pellet for the first time.
We stood back at about 20yds took aim at a target or can against a tree and fired and about a week later the pellet did reach the target to not dent the can or punch through the paper.
Never mind we thought I'm still one of the gat gun gang I was James Bond.
The end of the weekend came and in know I'm right we were all looking for that god dam plastic cap because our barrel had gotten scratches and dents on it and our hands had became sore due to loading.

jps

Yep, I have one.
It was given to me by a customer of mine when I was doing some electrical work at his house.
He knew I was into shooting and handed it to me as I was leaving. He wouldn't take any money for it and its in real good condition. Its a nice thing to own and gets used on occasion in the garden.

Yes Mick.

I had forgot about the throwing arrows with a piece of lace to throw them.
I used to make mine from the old fiberglass areal from an old car.
I then used playing cards to make the flights.
That is going back in time.

Hi there according to good old wiki it is a very old method used around the world to propel an object, It's called a Swiss arrow or a yorkshire arrow, Dutch arrow, Scotch arrow or Gypsy arrow. But also there is a version using wood instead of string it just had a lump on the end, this is where the idea for throwing a tennis ball for a dog has come from. All the best Graham.
