Heatwave.

Strewth it's hot.  How has this midday heat affected your shooting?  I find it too hot to lay down, the grass is no longer there to act as a cooling mat, instead it is scorched earth. Pigeons will have to wait. I am thnakful I am not farming anymore! Imagine having to handle bales in this weather.

Won't' even bother, my closest perms are bone dry and shrouded in heat-haze.
I went out Tuesday evening, the sweat was running in my eyes and sat in one of the barns for an hour.
I saw two pigeons drifting down the side of the woods and a crow that looked like it was just hanging in the heat.
Rabbits hadn't shown when I left just before midnight.
