Been a bigger job then I/we thought stripping and resealing due to a lot of inners been messed about with......butcher comes to mind however it's now sorted and back together cleaner bottle re turned end of barrel built back up happy days. Borrowed marksman moderator give that a try as twink wasn't great however we found most of the sound to be coming from action now silent :-)

Fantastic post loving the photo`s and the out come result Simonoxo, So you did a complete strip and clean with modding the barrel WOW, have you tested the gun yet for accuracy if so video it and upload the results,

You know what i like best about Theoben owner`s is all the love and dedication they put into looking after their Rapids its just great watching you all mod & strip plus clean and then test them all,...Just fantastic love it.

Thanks kernal :-) I got a lot of spares with the gun turned out to be alot of standard inners came in useful as the ones that was in looked like theyed been attacked with a grinder.... Rebuilt back up n found it to be losing air when firing coming out of end of where pellet probe touches barrel. So stripped back down polished probe up and returned end of barrel to suit new shape cleaned end too so mags seat real nice now was tight before and more importantly no leak turns out alot of sound was coming from action rather then barrel. I've ordered an SD card for pard never recorded on it before but now it's back together ill be out after work Friday. Tested only on back garden when we got it back together still 5p size groups at 40yrd

Put a tin of pellets through it on back needed to lead barrel back up did have slight rust spots.polished it up and cold blued it but had to clean inner rifling out after. got few flyers at first then got back to doing what it does best :-) out on rats Friday so hopefully SD card comes

Nice post Smithy another one bite`s the dust again to that trusty old Mrk 1 of yours nice shooting m8,

Simonoxo,
As for leading the barrel back up after a clean does that really work i`ve never needed to do that tbh as for the rat shooting get some movie footage up so we can watch it,  that would be great and on another note i`m going to be looking into upgrading the movie player on the forum without downloading and using a windows media movie player to do the work so that will make viewing movie files much better to watch on this forum soon.

Erm honestly I'm not 100% sure I didnt get any pics when setting up should have really first few mags was all over but that could have been me or wind lol after that tho it was dialled in my gun likes bisley magnums cos we changed a lot I did put a few super fields in and exacts but still prefers bisley mags bought some hades too but doesn't group for me but my pals rapids liked them so not sure was interesting how many flyers mine had with others compared to bisleys

Simonoxo

Will defo try gets some vids tho that will be mint too if you can do that so you don't have to download took me a while before to realise where they went when you download them when I found it I'd downloaded loads two n three times lol

Is it running at fac or sub 12 lbs as i`ve found out that if you want to run a high fast running pellet at 30 lbs the best pellet is Accupell, i tried all type`s of pellets at 30 lbs to find Accupell are stable and i think the reason to this is due to the skirt of the Accupell being supported by the inner filled lead giving it a greater stability in flight, but this is what i found and member`s may agree to disagree.

with you saying your running bisleys through it what grain are you putting through it and what power level is the gun running at,

Sub12 chronoed 500fps with 21.4g mags it's now set slightly lower as I noticed power increase put it back on chrono n didn't like what I saw hense full strip reseal and rebuild lol mine design like light pellets the jsb super fields was bad tin of 500 I bet I chucked 100+ away deformed skirts or head mostly skirt tried few different light ones but none have accuracy like bisley mags in my gun

Kernal

Bet you get some serious droppage running a 21.4g pellet through a sub 12 lbs gun Simonoxo, I would try Accupell for accuracy and stability and tell us how it goes with them pellets i really do find them to be the best pellets to run at fac and sub 12lbs.

Normally i`ve found you run 21gran at 12lbs you get some seriously slow pellet travel with a massive droppage with more shots due to the less hammer pressure due to the mass of weight in the pellet,

But on a 14.8 gran i`ve also found that you get a much faster pellet travel with less shots and this goes for both fac and 12lbs as i tested both on the chrono,

But like i say others on here may differ to what i say and comment about what they found out on this matter,...

Guns purpose is rats it's zeroed at 35yrds still puts a pellet where I want it up at 50yrds 2 mil dots up you don't need FAC power for rats sub12 does fine for me all pellets I tried give no consistency like bisley guess it's just what this gun likes
