Hi all

Als the platform is relatief new to me I have some questions.

The Pip, what is this. Found a brass one on the internet but did not found it in my gun.

Can I remove the safety of my early mk2, it does not fitt wel in de mk1 stock or will this give problems. I only shoot at the range and do not hunt or pest control.

The stock, are there different stocks for different production year of the Mk2 or should all fit the same stock, is the MFR also fits the mk2. Can i order one from custom stocks and it should fit or do i have to mention the serial nummer.

I have a mk1 stock but the trigger is to long to fitt the trigger guard and the stock bolt seams to be to long. Are there shorter replacement triggers so i can fit a the standart trigger guard and what is the bolt thread.

Mine has a quick fill in the bottom plug, i want to remove this and place a gauge instead as the hole is allready there. But what thread is there 1/4 or 1/8" thread.

I have a RAW brass power valve as i am getting an other mk2 what would  be the best option an other power valve or a BB valve. Are there other valves that are betteror give better shotcount.

Did see some valves with a spring on the hammer side, is this an anti bounce device or a modification of the valve closing system.

Hope there are not to many questions at ones butt i thought better place them in one time.

1/8 BSP

the piip is on the hammer pic 1?
this is a later mk2/mk4 hammer but it's essentially the same pip

the MFR stock is made to fit a 280cc 50mm o/d bottle
the mk2.. 60mm o/d
Inform CS that you have a mk3 trigger unit.. I don't know if there's any difference in the trigger pocket..

I've only fitted a mk2/mk4 into an early R7 stock.
I packed out the guard by 5mm, then cut the trigger blade back 5mm as my intention was to finish the project in a CS stock with a  Rowan adjustable blade.

Early mk1 blocks with a Gamo trigger blocks have the front stock bolt hole 4-5mm further back  and also appear sit slightly lower in the early R7 stock than late Mk1 and mk2s with mk4 triggers.

Latest mk2 with setback mk4 in picture fits the late stock without the shims ???

The guard bolt is 1/4 UNF

The bottom blanking plug hole is 1/4 BSP.

Back spring valves are a way to increase volume and remove the need for a stand-off on prechamber extensions.
Ideally require an MFR type reg to  retain block pressure and stop the hammer from knocking the valve forwards when purging.

I believe BB hasn't been making any Rapid parts this year.
He released the drawing for his valve and there is a copy/ clone  recently available.  No idea on quality or long term use.

Shot count is balancing hammer / valve/ airflow cycle.
Short body valves increase power and efficiency.... balance is the key to both.
