.177 Slugs info??

FAC power aside id be interested to see an 8-9gn slug for .177.
Something directly similar to JSB and QYS to do a true head to head for accuracy.

I know there are always improvements to be had here and there but i genuinely cannot see how i could improve the accuracy of JSB Express out of my TTR unless clamped to remove the human element.
I don't even bother to wash, clean, size or lube them as the barrel puts 5 shots through a hole smaller than a .22 pellet.

Im no green slime, but i do know the color of the boathouse but even in capable hands what more could it achieve?

How did you get on with the pro hunters? I've tried them along with wild man and the precision ballistics Mako Slugs in my .177 sub 12 hw100 and the makos came out the winners by some margin.

To get the weight down to 8 or 9 grain for slugs necessitates a lot of tuning in as much as you need to balance the various aspects and compromise on some to achieve others, so it isn't an easy ask, and for manual swaging it is a challenge.

We have had a lot of good results from HW (as well as rapids  )

Our Achilles heel seems to be Steyr's still trying to work out whether that is their choke or barrel length, I think the former. Am hoping the new products that are pipelined will get around that anomaly

Now you are opening a can of worms Sir!!! I have talked to various people and it seems to be a see saw of opinion between choked and unchoked, so will be very interested in your results.

I have invested in a pair of polygonal choked and unchoked barrels to see how the Mako's perform, they will be installed on a Vendetta platform in due course.

Have you also thought about a light weight .22 slug? I've tried the Pro Hunter 17.8's in my other HW100 and they worked very well!

It's on the roadmap, to do it properly I will need to invest in 216,217,218 & 219 dies and those with the accompanying parts is quite a substantial investment. It's also for me bringing something unique to the table that is tried and tested and that takes some time to get right. So we have a lot of ideas for new products and product lines in addition to the daily production of the Mako's. As soon as the new kit arrives from our manufacturer then we will be launching new products.

Sounds good. I have invested in a custom set of .217 GMI died that I should be able to produce various configuration and weight of slugs with expensive but I do like to tinker
