A good day on the tree rats

I took these a few weeks ago with the .177 MFR when the foliage was just right. No hide or feeder used, wasn't even wearing camo.

What a nice picture i mean the MFR lol, I own the Mrk 1 but would love to own the MFR they look a really nice gun in my opinion!

Nice shooting by the way, So what did you do with all them squirrels as i tend to eat them they taste nutty too and soft and tender when cooked right, Normally when i`m out and about and do take down the odd squirrel i`ll make a fire outside in the woods and cook them over the embers as i sit down and listen to all the nature around me, It really don`t get any better than that,

I haven't done any ratting tbh, just not had the opportunity. I have somewhere in mind though so I'll have to offer my services I think. I'm sure my mate would lend me his NV and/or his rifle. I was a bit late to the party this year as I reached a point where I had to learn how to properly repair and maintain my rifles. It was time consuming, costly and at first appeared wasteful! But looking back it was invaluable. Mr G helped me out big time and the penny would have taken a lot longer to drop if it wasn't for the numerous phone calls to and from Kev. I still want a new reg core off him and I'll be sure to sort him out with some beer money as promised. He's a rare one is Kev G

I refer to my Mk1 as 'old reliable'. I love the balance on the MFR and find it easier to shoot as I'm quite slight. I also run the Mk2 with a 280cc bottle on an MFR bottle holder and reg which is a lovely little gun. My Mk1 is quite heavy but it has a GC stock with a hefty rear, often referred to as "quite a slab" But it distributes the weight nicely and balances it out.
I will have to try some squirrel, it might help if I stop referring to them as tree rats I suppose. Im a bugger for nuts and I've always been curious as to how a squirrel tastes
