Never used a pump but thinking of getting a Hill as a backup before the next spike/lockdown.  :(

I see Amazon have one inc filter for £161.

Does anyone know if they come with a Rapid buddy bottle adapter as standard or if not which one I should buy? Cheers!  :)

It will only come with a hose with 1/8" bspp fitting..
So you will need to get a buddy-bottle fill adaptor.
Best-Fitting will have what you need.

Here is a typical one with the sealing insert.

Good Luck,

Not counting my chickens before they hatch but just the thought of going back to a hand pump makes me shiver.
I'm looking towards a compressor unit to fill my buddy bottles at not much more cost than a good quality hand pump.
On the Brightside you will end up with arms like Popeye.
If you decide on one and struggle to get a fitting I have some spare fittings here I don't use.

As kev said above - a pump will keep you fit - most guys now use large 300bar cylinders or the 240v compressors that have recently appeared on the market

Pumps are totally self contained are are suitable for topping off or filling small airtubes - they are capable of filling or topping off buddy bottles too with plenty of breaks to allow the pump to cool down.....

It is not all Doom and Gloom.....
I made do with a FX stirrup pump when I got my first MK II.
Hand pumping is all in technique!
Don't use mainly back and arms!!
It is all in the legs!
And filling a bottle... top-off or full fill.
It is always done in stages.. about 15-20 strokes...
This is to let the pump cool off and bleed moisture off..

But once I got my second Rapid... a Carbon-fiber Tank and Compressor was my next investment!!

Good Luck,
Stuart

I thought about a pump also when my bottle run out, but then remembered how much fricking hard work it was from when I bought a webly raider 2 shot when they come out ,so I bought a mk1 HW80K instead. :D

I bought a Hills pump when I got my first Rapid, it`s still in the box! My friend with a Rapid invited me to his house then asked me to pump his bottle up for him as he had been knocked over while crossing a road, and couldn`t do it himself. Then he showed me how easy it was with a tank. That was the last time I used a pump. If I was ever to run out of air I would go to one of my HW springers every time. Ken.
