Cleaning my Rapid 7 Block

Had my Mk II since 2009 - decided to give it a strip and change O rings etc - everything but the Regulator (KevG rebuilt mine in 2017 after I over pressurised it - durghh)

I am pretty careful anyhow but I would appreciate advice on cleaning the block - particularly some advice about the exhaust port chamber

What solvent should I use to clear the old Molykote - or should I leave the exhaust port chamber alone for risk of damaging it ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

When I Completely Strip my Rapids....
I use Acetone to remove any remaining Lube, grease and Molykote
Let completely air dry...or use compressed air...
Then reassemble....

Is spray brake disc cleaner / degreaser okay? too aggressive?

Ca_Varminter

No...it will do the same job...
Strip of any old lube or dried on molykote.
