Title: Hammer length
Post by: Andycoup on March 29, 2022, 01:30:53 PM
Hi folks, I've bought a raw hm1000, I think the hammer has been shortened on the pip end. How long should the standard, sub12 hammer be?

Cheers, Andy.

Thankyou, I'm pretty certain mine is shorter than that. I'll confirm it in the morning.

Same as a mk2 then, if the hammer has a square end the pip should be 16mm

Hmm, looks like it'll be having a silent pip then!

The idiot I bought it off was definitely pushing it, short pip, a hammer spring that looks like it'd be more at home on the suspension of a truck and 170bar reg pressure >:( >:(

pip would need cutting of and hammer drilling and threading to change to a longer pip on this type of hammer
