Genuine Theoben rifle slip

Hi all,

There's a genuine rifle slip for sale....err.... elsewhere, so i took a look at it. Bog standard fleece lined slip worth about £15, Theoben patch on it and it's up at £57 so far.

Are these that rare that they can command such a premium?

I'm watching the item so i will report back with the final sale price...

It is the Theoben patch that is the rare bit of the deal.

I have one here that came with a gun i bought years ago. Nice bit of kit..but way too expensive second hand. Most other slips i own dont take a rapid. Can anyone suggest another brand please?

My BSA 43" tactical bag will take a rapid with 19" barrel and scope but you have to remove the moderator, not a problem if screw cut but a bit more awkward with slip on mods where you have a grub screw.  Available from uttings.

Thing is mate, I think the valuation of these will only go up over time as they get rarer.

Amazing for what is essentially a ten bob rifle slip.

I'd be inclined to sit on ithem for a while longer.... forget about them for another few years, you don't need them, I'd imagine you have far better rifle bags costing half the amount these are currently pulling.

That's bonkers I under stand the want of getting the bag to match the gun but my gun bags always end up getting dirty and damaged somehow (mix of indoor and out door ranges) so at that price you wont want to put it on the deck at the range or take it in a wet muddy field or even use it for fear of damaging it if they are so rare and worth so much! unless it's just to put the rifle in when you put it in the cupboard to sit there for another 25 years I cant see the point
