Hi Iv got an original theoben air gauge and when fitted to my 177 it restricts power can this be drilled out to let more air in thanks

Squinty

Does the thread have a waist and hole that aligns with the port?

Instructions for fitting a .177 cal or FAC rated
Inlet Adaptor or Pressure Indicator Adaptor
1 Screw in inlet adaptor (part no. 2) and tighten with a 0.826 inch
(21mm) spanner (wrench).
2 Put a mark on the inlet adaptor in line with the barrel above using
a magic marker pen.
3 Drill a 0.156" (4mm) hole in the groove between the two threads.
4 De-burr using a needle file - both inside and out. Ensure that the
whole inlet adaptor is clean and that there is no filing dust or swarf
left aroung the de-burred areas, as this may cause the rifle to leak.
5 Carefully replace the o-ring.
6 Smear a small amount of Molykote 33 grease around the o-ring.
7 Screw into the Rapid (Super 12) body & tighten with spanner.
This will give an uninterrupted route throught the inlet adaptor and up
into the valve chamber.

Does it need drilling both sides or just one side as my bottle adapter what's in got 2 holes thanks

Squinty

only really needs one, I reckon most people just drilled straight through thinking that double the holes double the flow.
But that would need an intermediate transfer port twice the size. ?

I've got FAC fast flows with 4 holes in the waist ..made no difference.

KevG

Its not critical for hole to line up especially on sub 12 ftlb.may help a little at fac.
