My hw80 with a custom stock

Rapid7bee

My 80 is my second choice also, shoots a lot smoother after gliding the piston(middle gun).served me well over the last few months, :) after I run out of air for the Rapid7

Kernal

I`ve always liked the HW80, Personally i think the two main guns to own are the Theoben Rapid & the HW80.
I used to own one very nice HW80 but when i let my fac licence expire my poor old hw80 had to go due to it being a fac rated airgun pushing 20 lbs.
Shame really as my HW80 was my second best airgun that tbh i used allot to bash pigeons out of high trees.

Regards

:)

Nice Kev, Is there any gun you dont own  ;D ;D ;D ;D

The Beeman's Rebranded R-1 was my 2nd springer I owned...
Installed a Venom FAC Spring and Guide. Also their Enhanced Brass trigger..
That was Solid hitter... Then I ventured into Theoben Land....Gas Piston Springers
But that just evolved into the my Love for the Rapid Platform!!!
Everything went downhill from there!!!!

I still have two HW80s, a mk1 with the square stock from the first batch that Hull got and a second a carbine with the rounded stock. Both have been great guns. I always wanted an Airsporter as a young lad and finally bought an S version and thought it was the best rifle ever, untill I bought my HW80. Looks wise the S won hands down, but power and handling the HW80 knocked it sideways. My cousin bought a mk1 fac at the same time as I bought my mk1 and that gun has taken more rabbits than all my rifles put together. It looks a bit battered now but still shoots spot on. Best springer ever HW80, best pcp ever Rapid, in my opinion. Ken.

Had a few over the years wish I'd kept them now especially the one my dad bought me not made any where near as good as they where nowadays

A chap at the club got a venom hw79 I think it was. I had a go and didn't think it much of it, not as good as my tx200 22 mm piston.I wonder if you pay a lot for the name.md

This should have been in the 80 laser glide thread by Kev.md

I regret letting my old hw80 go now sad days,  :'(

The 80 is an absolute beast of a gun. Agree with most of whats been said already, the 80 - for my money anyway - is the best break barrel air gun out there.

Big, heavy and a really lazy firing cycle that i find helps my shooting. I think the fact that it is so `over-engineered` actually helps it at below 12.

I have a beautiful CS walnut stock waiting for the right 80.
