Hey guys

Well I have been sitting on some slugs since the beginning of the year.  Having been caught up at work and things with the kids I haven't been able to shoot as much as I want.  Well the weather finally played nice and I was able to get out to the range.  We had light winds with over cast clouds and a temp of 66-70 degrees.  Had the range all to myself so I was able to shoot with out my hearing protection on and it was nice and comfortable.  Well aside from the swarm of mosquitoes that kept trying to fly off with me for a snack.

Was able to get the rifle warmed up with some Corbin 33.5 grain dish base slugs.  After getting comfortable with the rifle again, I moved out to 100 yards.  Was able to put rounds on a life sized rabbit target with not much problem.  After having some fun it was time to get to work seeing if I can get the Corbin ACE 40 grain slugs to shoot through the rifle.  After moving some targets and repainting I bumped up the regulator to 175 Bar and got ready to do some shooting.  At 50 yards the slugs put a pounding on the steel target, but they were all clustered together really nicely.  So off to 100 yards and further.

After getting the rifle dialed in to shoot 950 fps with the 40 grain slugs I was able to move out to 100 yards on a life sized gopher.  Things went well with the time at the 100 yard range, so pushed back the rabbit to 140 yards.  And it was the same as last time, constant hits and it had me giggling like a child at a park.

I got bored so I walked out and grabbed the rabbit and repainted and then walked out to the 200 yard berm.  Walked back to the bench and punched in some information to my ballistic calculator to get a dial hold for my 200 yard target.  Sent the first round and with a hold on the top of the head I had an impact at the foot.  So a little bit of an adjustment on the scope and I was ringing steel out to 200 yards.  The Huma regulator on the rifle really makes the rifle EXTREMELY consistent.  I was able to get the rifle set up to be shooting at 950 fps with a standard deviation of under 5!

I can't say enough how much I really enjoy these rifles!!
