Making ammo

I have been making my slugs for over a year now, and I am seeing more people over here in the states starting to make their own as well.  And that got me to wondering if there are people else where making their own slugs and what they are using?

Currently I am using a Corbin S-Press with a die set in 0.218 diameter.  With a 10lb spool of lead I am able to make quite a few 33-38 grain slugs for multiple rifles.  Currently I am using the 38 grain slugs in my Hm1000x and have the rifle shooting them around the 950 fps speed.  I am working with the rifle currently to get it set up to shoot up to 40 grains if needed.

Honestly the ability to make my own slugs, which are getting quite expensive currently, has actually brought the price down quite a bit.  That and given the fact that I can really dial in my loads with the exact weight that I am looking for.  With the Corbin set up I am able to punch out say 100 rounds and have an extreme weight range of around 0.1 grains weight variation.  So with the same squirt of air each time and the ammo being extremely precise there is no reason to not want to play with the ammo weight.  And lets be honest..... we all like to tinker and mess with things

I know there are a few different companies that are making die kits, and people are making their own. 

Are any of the members here making their own ammo, and if so what are you using and what have the results been?

Much to my wifes dismay I have been looking for a lathe for the garage.  Would really like to be able to make some parts for the rifles.  But I have to many other hobbies as it stands right now.

What you need is a Man-Cave!!
Lock the door.... Sneak in Equipment In the Cover of Darkness....
Or Blame on a Buddy....I am just storing it here for a little while.....

 I have my reloading room a basement room, but it doubles as a storage room as well.  Then I make my fishing baits out in the garage.  If it didn't get so flipping cold in the winter I would keep the reloading things in the garage as well.  But the large temp swings doesn't tend to help with the scales.

Here is something else to think about...
Insulated... then go for Climate control!!
I have a small single zone Heat Pump Split unit in my Man Cave..


Keeps corrosion at bay,  keeps things comfortable!!
