Removing PIP

Hi fellas on stripping a friends rifle looking at the pip on the hammer it looks shorter than others how long should it be he wants a silent pip fitted will the old one just screw out i have tried but seems like its fixed in also what size is the thread on the pip ? is it 2ba ? cheers fellas ATB

The old pip is screw on.
But if original, the Pip is heavily Loctited on!!
So some heat will be needed to get the Pip off!!

IIRC sub 12 pip's are 17mm, FAC pip's are shorter so they get more momentum, usually 10-12mm, but I've got one 5mm.

Just balance the rest of the gun round it Phil.
Eg hammer spring pressure etc, Al

word of warning, check output at 120-140 bar, short pips can cause the power curve to rise as the pressure drops.
