I'm just wondering if any other members use the NV forum UK? It appears to be down or gone. Anyone else having issues or know anything?

Kernal

Link to site would have helped to see what the issue is....  ;)

I haven't been able to log in for ages. It recognises my name, but won't accept my password, or allow me to change it.

I personally think when a forum shuts down it also effect`s the ppl who used that forum too, I`ve seen so many ppl get upset when a certain forum shut`s down for good!

It`s a shame tbh that the forum owner just give`s up for whatever reasons he has to give up on his forum for!

Would be interesting to see why he give up on his forum if any members can find out!

Not sure if it has anything to do with the recent death of Bruce, did he run it ??

Shame all that info has been lost.

Based on that data I've always put in place a back up as in sharing all data to KCE & KEVG if all should fail and let`s just add into the equation i pass away, So that being said they also have full access to the main server to gain access and do whatever they feel fit to do with this site if the questionable should happen!

I`ve tried to put backup idea`s in place for every possibility! that could happen!.

Saying that since the recent bad health of KCE we not only have KevG that has all the details to access the site`s main server,....After reading this i think more admin`s should have access to server details so this site don`t go down that route in many years to come as you never know what`s around the corner as they say!

That`s the main reason i bought our very own server, But that being said if i passed away then our site would go off line until someone received our main server and reconnected it to the net on there side!

When i bought our server`s i was trying to take away costs and it can still be done as all the servers i bought are ready to go when i want them too!

What`s your thoughts on this!

I see it's back up again  :)
Seems the previous tech chap John passed away & "Silent shooter" suffered a stroke, his daughter is helping get the site back.

Yes mate just checked yesterday and its up again, although i guess not many people know as there has been very little activity. Good its back!

angrybear

Well in truth there hasn't been a lot of activity for months, if not years, kit is now so cheap, idiot proof, & easy to buy,
the specialist knowledge is needed less & less.

Tacker

I joined that forum when I decided to dip my toe in the world of nv.
Only visited a couple of times.

Got the information I required from YouTube with a little help from another Rapid forum member.
