Hi Stefan.

Take a look in the Technical section and the airgun data section on here you will learn a lot from there as to what you need to know about your rapid.

there's not much to the actual strip down, they really are that simple
this is with the earlier sporter trigger unit... mk4 is two pins

Doesn't get any harder than this.....

what to polish...?
the hammer.... polish not sand!
you can polish the hammer spring ends assuming that they are well finished to start with.
No need to polish the bolt... really... just the tiniest amount of molybdenum sulphide grease

Thanks for posting the link to that tutorial, Squinty 👍. Even though mine is a mk1, the detail and the pics put up there-in were very informative, often wondered what the blanking seal plate in the bottom of the block was for 👍.
I was going to ask on here, if I changed where the bottle valve goes into, to a regulator, could I fill my carbon bottle to 300 bar. Going by the tutorial, if I read it right, other work on the block would need to be done, is that right?

Squinty

I don't know how much the regs will take, RAWs go 250 > 300.
I asked Kev if I could go to 250bar...not that I need to
He said shouldn't be problem but he only fills his FAC to 230.

Block mods depend on the age but non-reg blocks have different porting as they run higher inlet pressures

The regs should work fine upto 250 bar.but not the early circlip type.200 bar for those

That's good to know as the reg in my late Mk1 is the early cirplip type
