Air coming out of grub locating screw

Hi everyone.

I'm currently new to the forum and was looking for some help. I currently have a mk1 rapid 7 in .22 sub 12 and finding that the gun is shooting a measley 6.5ftlb. I've bought a new exhaust valve and the housing for it as one part but air seems to be coming out of the barrel and locating grub screw hole (grub is in ) and valve is positioned correctly. All the parts have been assembled back in correctly but I still don't know what is wrong

Any help would be much appreciated

When you replaced the Main Valve and Valve body...
Did you clean the area where the O-ring seat??
Old dried up lube could cause a leak!

Also did you apply some Molykote to the O-rings??
A little lube help seat the O-rings...

Good Luck,
Stuart

I'd like to think I've bought good quality parts. However it was on ebay but all good reviews etc. It's just really bugging me at the moment unless the part is faulty. There isn't really anything difficult in the rapid when it comes to internals so it must be something simple. Also I take it that no air at all is supposed to come through that grub screw hole whats so ever? I think I may not have seated it correctly im thinking.

Well with the Valve-body...
If it was turned to  the Proper size...
When you install it, with it's O-rings... it should be a Snug fit as you slide it in!
When it reaches the O-ring, it should have a nice "POP" when you fully seat it!!

Good Luck,
Stuart

Thanks Stuart, I will have another go tomorrow and get back to you

Sorry, but he makes garbage & if you complain it's always the fault of someone or something else, never his part that's wrong.

Do you have a website for parts kev? I'd rather buy the parts from you if you do as you have taken your time to help me out mate.
