Morning gents .Went to use the rapid Mk 1 fac out this morning .Got across to the hide and tried a test shot .Trigger won't set meaning there is no pull on the trigger as it's flat against the rear of the guard .
Is this an adjustment issue or is there something else going on .Was hoping to use it tonight on the rabbits which are building in number here .Don't want to mess about with it as I'm not tech enough  :( so I'll use the .22 rimmy but great shame .

Its not the trigger shoe again is it?

Foxdropper

No mate ,that's off never to return .😁

So it cocks but won't fire? Or...it won't cock at all?

Was about 4 months ago you were having problems ..... obviously got worse or have you made some adjustments since.

If the hammer is engaging the top sear...the top spring is ok
Could be the middle  spring
actual trigger pin which contacts the middle / bottom lever is captive within the trigger blade.

Take the stock off to see if anything is jamming up the bottom sear- the safety runs on the same pin which also holds it in the block Not uncommon for a pellet to find its way in.

Have you screwed the adjuster grub in too far ?
That pushes the bottom sear further up- lighter but further for the trigger pin to move.
Maybe over adjusted? Past the blades maximum travel ...if possible??

TBH...they're pretty simple to remove, a slave in the right size, hex-key/screwdriver and umm a little patience. ;D

I've replaced OE sears and trigger pin from  the generic gamo/bsa unit and the pull was so far back I had to check the gun was cocked.
Maybe-maybe just an old 'that'll do' repair- that keeps on giving.

Not adjusted anything since the last episode mate .I'll take the stock off tomorrow when I've more time .Been shooting sweet as tbh .
The bolt does seem easier to cock though .

KevG

if bolt's easier to pull back the cocking dog may have failed
