Breach blowing/leaking

Cannot stop the blow at the breach on shooting  :'( maybe not a full on nightmare but a bit of a pain.

The barrel is snugged on to the Mag, to the point my SMW mag now doesn't fit.

I've got a brand new DR Bob adjustable bolt, so at least it's easy to access,
but to get the breach/probe to stop blowing I've had to screw the bolt adjuster in until fully locked up & the bolt arm is tight on the guide plate & hard to lock down.
and even then I can still see/feel a tiny puff doing the tissue test.

Next thing I can think is get the barrel re machined with a new breach when one of the experts is back working.

Any ideas ?

First use a bright light and check the breech area of the barrel.
Depending on the pellets you use, you may have lead deposits that are
stopping your bolt from locking up fully!

Have you change your barrel or outer probe ?
If so  you may need to lap the probe to the barrel!

Unfortunately I don't have a lathe to make such a tool, I did attempt to lap them together by hand.

Just thinking, stick a long hex key in the bolt adjuster to spin it & use the bolt itself with the handle & cocking dog removed, should work  ???

Ca_Varminter

That should work!!
Since you will lap at a low speed...
You can use a electric screw driver for this!!
Good Idea!!

Just done it using the bolt, perfect 8) 8)

Remove the probe complete,
reinsert just the outer with a single wrap of insulating tape around it, & it holds perfectly in the bolt,
a T handle hex key in the adjuster screw, run between the index fingers of each hand spins it nicely.

The block was barrel down held between my knees, pretty much just the weight of the bolt to do the lapping.
