Well having just got off the phone with Kev, he's worked wonders yet again.  A 200cc bottle filled to 220 bar gave 104 shots with a 11fps spread.  This is a 10.5 inch barrel.   Insane!!

Kudos to Kev for trying different things to get the best out of it - its certainly up there now.

Yep good numbers - the higher fill pressure and regulator really does make a difference 👍

it was reged before daz and only gave around 55 shots on  280cc bottle.a .177 short barrel sucks air like a surfacing whale😁

Sounds like it had a leak mate! 55 shots from a 280cc ?

normaly should be 180 shots.but with extra short barrel would expect around 100 on a 280 bottle.

What is the optimum barrel length without the gun looking like it has had a sweeping brush stuck to the front of it .

theoben got it right at 16 inches.anything longer is a waist of steel at sub 12ftlbs and mid fac.of course shorter you go the less efficient it becomes.especially on the small calibre.

Yep the best way to make it more efficient is to use heavy pellets with a short barrel 👍

tested with 8.4 and 10.34 grn pellets and virtually same power.so happy days

So an update after a visit to the range.  Getting 90 really consistent shots from a 200 bottle with a 220 fill.

It's now got a vortex 4-12x40 fixed px on there and suits it well. 

Started pellet testing with my favourites - JSB shorts....probably the quickest pellet testing ever.

5 shots, 50 yards.   This wasn't a fluke, it was consistently printing groups like this.

To say I'm happy is an understatement - so the block is singing thanks to Kev G and the barrel is a good one.....happy days.
