For Sale Section

After you make a good 50 solid posts the for sale section will open up to you so you can sell items between members,  how do you all feel about this!

I'm ok with that, being part of a forum is about contributing towards it, by asking questions for the experts to answer and occasionally chipping in with some info yourself, showing other guys your guns give ideas to copy etc. Just jumping on to buy and sell isn't the way to go IMHO 👍🏻

Fine by me.  Is this a new sales section for guns or the one we already have headed miscellaneous?

You can buy and sell all guns in the sales section.
You should be able to view and use after your 50 post count.
Please all members abide by the rules in there to help protect each other on this forum as there is only so much we admin and mods can do to help.

I can see the point completely and agree as most forums have members whose sole interest is to sell and don't contribute on any other section.

Yep having a post count helps prevent people joining just to sell stuff -  we also get to know them a bit first 👍

Completely agree, since the demise of freeadds the amount of idiots that are appearing on the other forums just to sell is getting concerning

A good idea. I would feel a lot safer buying a rifle from a sales section on here. Less chance of being scammed. Anybody doing anything dodgy would soon be found out and hopefully banned. Ken.

We admin do have a private list of known bad sellers from other forums so will never get on here.
Each time someone gives us the heads up we are on it asap.

Whilst it's a pain waiting to get to 50 posts (especially if you are not a rapid `expert` like me therefore you struggle to get to 50 decent posts), I agree entirely the forum shouldn't be easily accessible for anyone to just peddle their wares.

I would imagine quite a lot of the members on here will be very well known from the other forums such as AGF and the BBS.

There are plenty of ne'er-do-wells out there and the rule in place should be enough to deter them from here, leaving only `reyt folk` to do business without fear of being fleeced.
