My New Find MFR

Hi fellas been waiting to get it ready to show. I brought the MFR of Steve its one of the Help The Heroes Kev will know this Rifle. I went to pick it up Steve was so polite i can tell this rifle was very well looked after it looks brand new  Thanks Steve was great to meet you i have fitted the rifle with another scope its the Wulf 3x15x44 the scope is AWESOME its got the best glass i have ever seen beautifully crystal clear lens looks the dogs lol i also fitted a carbon tube over barrel to protect it the barrel is mint by the way Hope you like it fellas ATB Phil.

Nice looking MFR you got there Walk. I dropped on one late last year after browsing on GT. Local to me and at a very good price. Thought it was a bit too good to be true given some of the prices you see them advertised at. Went and had a gander, rifle in excellent condition and got to try it out at the sellers range set up. Obviously, I couldn't say no! Bloke threw in a nice period Jap scope and a padded BSA gun bag.
It's proved to be accurate with most quality brand pellets and recently tried the JTS 16gn which have been the best so far.

Hi DB-20 yes i brought it of the fella Steve above he is a great fella to meet he as looked after the rifle very well the rifle is in mint condition i fitted the carbon tube to keep the barrel in its fantastic condition its a 177 it likes Baracuda 9.57g and Webley Accupell FT 8.64g  other pellets are also good and there are a few more i would like to try the rifle is worth every penny i spent on it its been very well looked after and i am pleased with it enjoy your MFR Buddy there a Fantastic rifle ATB Phil.

Really like the trigger and cocking action on the MFR. I've had very good results with H&N, RWS, JSB and  AA ammo in various guises then found the JTS Dead Center 16gn edged the previous mentioned brands. The MFR has the least pellet fussy barrel from all the other air rifles I've owned.
Also been impressed with the Wulf scope at the price. Got a Fireball 3-9x40, build quality seems a bit lightweight but what can you expect for about 50 quid? The mil dot ret is a bit thick for my eyes but the glass is pretty good for the price. Been used on a (well mannered) springer for quite a while and it's been fine.

The best scope is the one you feel happy with buddy whether its £50 squid or £300 i have used many scopes over the years my eyes not to good any more. So i go with what i feel best with. The Wulf scopes seem very nice well made and the glass is Awesome these ones are a SFP that i preferer the ret is not far off a pard Ret i love it ATB Buddy      PS It dose come with a sun shade to ATB

Got a couple of Vector Optics scopes from the lower price range, glass is good enough and they seem pretty robust. I have a 4-16 mag Richter Optik scope, bought cheap about 15 years ago and the glass and reticule are great. It's a bit heavy and bulky but is good for adding a bit of ballast to springers and rammers for rested target shooting. Bought a few of the higher end offerings but got them with at sales prices with a good discount.

or could be your shorter barrel, whatever it is it looks balanced, & they are quiet.

Cheers buddy the carbon tube is 16mm inside diameter and the outside is 18mm i brought one one of these for the tube to but up against  https://www.ant-supplies.uk/barrel-muzzle-adapters/rifle-barrel-thread-extensions.html  other end i put a buddy bottle O-ring stops water getting in its a good barrel under the carbon its for looks and to protect the barrel under it easy to remove to clean and oil barrel

Nice idea with the O ring, I never thought of that.
I used the same size tube on my MFR "Tac" .20, but turned a delrin taper for the block end & one of Kev's grubscrew mods at the muzzle.
