V shape assembly for Theoben/RAW regulator body.

Is there any way in getting a V shape assembly for the QF and Manometer for the Theoben / RAW regulator body.

I'v got the straight one, but found another BM500 chassis to use and this would require the V shape assembly instead of the straight I got. Getting it from the US seems impossible with sh*t importer in Europe.

So is there anyone making them as aftermarket kits. Did see several options for a reg with QF and Mano in V shape but those are complete sets, don't suppose the V shape jig will fit the Theoben/Raw regulator body with that neck down to fit the Mano and QF jig.

RAW stopped listing the complete 3/8bsp QFs a couple of years ago, phased it out I guess.

HW100 tuning made a batch of V block regs to original Theoben spec, no idea whether they would fit the later regs.
Dealt with him once, won't be doing it again.

Just find a good Machinist..
I made my own Straight QF Banjo without the gauge....

Good Luck,

I bought a regulator, it wasn't cheap but although he could be notoriously hard to get hold of and his online persona made me think twice.. he has a reputation for very good work.
Found it odd that his initial interest was more my AGF username ???
Obviously anyone follwing their banned memebrs page know he's been kicked off a few times lol.
Just checking to see whether I'd slagged him off or the nasty man had upset me on the internet?

It was a really nicely machined bit of kit, but I had a couple of issues come up when I put it on my tester.

Firstly  premature bottle opening, the requested pressure was out, recharge was slow and a bit creepy.
I didn't fit it to the gun.
I sent a very polite email to HW100 and admittedly he  said send it back..but before messing about with the postage cycle  being of the very patient and hopeful kind of customer I went over the whole set up with the assumption that there was still a fault my end.

I sorted the bottle issue (the pip was about half a mm too long for the pushpin) by making a dedicated pip/bottle  and re-re-re reset the pressure with only a tiny amount of intermittent creep.
Blamed the creep/presure/reset on a potentially iffy guage but later also found a slight leak in the Best Fittings tester purge valve.
Emailed  HW100 again, humbly backtracked on my initial results, swallowed any self doubts in the reg and based on chrono numbers said that I'd run a tin of pellets through the gun to see how it settled.

Had few hundred shots over the chrono whether it was a volume change or set up the pellet preference and consistency- extreme spead changed  but nothing excessive.
Put it away..weather/work..a month- 6 weeks later it was creeping 15-20fps after rests, enough to put JSB 10.3s very close to the limit.
I removed the belville stack, checked and reset the core travel to his specs and reassembled it. No better.
Then I stripped it completely, found that the push-pin nozzle was sharp and had cut into the nose. There was also a fleck of SS swarf and a scratch crossing it.

You cannot view this attachment.

For the sake of a week or two messing around ..I refaced the nose and reset the core travel to his specs again. The pressure was good but again there was still some creep noticable over the chrono.
I emailed HW100 explaining findings, my concerns and admitted that I had skimmed the nose to clear the damage.
He never replied, not a 'fair play you've gone above and beyond' or even a you've voided any warranty I might have given.

Warrantly wasn't an issue, unlike an E-bay reg the quailty is there, sharp machining but it just didn't work 100%.
And one way or another I was going to set it up to my requirements whatever that meant within reason but imo there was something that needed attention or at least a solution.
Damn if it wasn't for the sharp disc nozzle I'd have fitted a peek nose without even bothering him.

I put the reworked previously dodgy E-bay reg back on, returned to 3-4fps shot to shot consistency without creep.
With all honesty it's been in the spares drawer for 11 months and I haven't even thought about it. Guess I'm firmly on his idiot list now.

Perhaps I expect too much but I'm not going to chase someone who doesn't reply and is otherwise hard to get hold of.
I would have bought more particularly as RAW have discontinued their BSP QF regs but when my wallet does the talking chances are few and far between so it's shut in that direction.. for the sake of one reply.

yes found the same on one of those regs, made a new push pin disc for it but also had to skim the core face to get rid of the damage caused by the sharp edges of the disc.

Best Fittings do one, throw away the brass extensions & you're left with a V QF/gauge that fits between the bottle & the FF/reg housing.
Perfect for sub 12, but does rob power from FAC level.
there's a photo in my valve issues thread if req'd
